Dan’s musical background runs deep, tracing back to his father who played in a Jug Band for the Kiwanis Club when he was young. He went to college on a music scholarship and met his wife, Ana Laura, in the pit orchestra for Carousel, and now enjoys listening to her play the flute. With his diverse musical interests,  Dan is no stranger to the stage, having been a 4th grade cello player, high school DJ, and always counted on to sing out of tune.

Dan is now gearing up for the CSO Guest Conductor's competition, where he hopes to use his family to showcase the rich artistic opportunities available in the Oneonta area. With his three daughters, Malena, Layla, and Nadia, Dan plans to present a fun and memorable performance that highlights various arts organizations in the community, such as the Decker School of Ballet, YMCA, Glimmerglass, Little Delaware Youth Ensemble, and the Oneonta Symphony Orchestra. Through his presentation, Dan aims to encourage more families in the area to attend and enjoy the wonderful concerts of the CSO, and ultimately, win the contest.
