She currently serves as the Executive Director of the Greater Oneonta Historical Society where she manages the day-to-day operations and oversees programs, events, and exhibitions that serve the community.

Marcela is deeply involved in her community, serving on the City of Oneonta’s Planning Commission and promoting historical preservation. In her free time, Marcela is an avid music lover who enjoys a wide range of genres and artists.

Her love for music is evident in her ability to appreciate a wide range of styles, from rock and alternative to hip hop and R&B, to indie and folk.

Marcela agreed to be a guest conductor for the CSO Le Cabaret Fundraiser because she saw it as an exciting opportunity to do something new and fun and hopes to have a great time, inspire others to do the same, and raise funds for a great cause.
